Homework Assignment (1) Do a basic Web search on "Pop Art" print out a one page write up. Include an image. 10 points due Feb. 18.
Homework assignment (2): Design a performance event. It can use objects or be an event using persons. I would prefer that this be video taped this way you can edit and add titles. However you may do a live performance of your work for the class. If that is a better fit for your idea. You may work in groups of up to three persons. 50 points due March 31

Homework Assignment (4): Walk your Pop-Art around for at least a half hour ,record the comments people make. Bring this paper to class. Due March 27, 10 points
In class assignment (1)
Taking inspiration from the video shown in class sculpt an animal from sculpty. You will need to paint it with a pattern that enhances the over all look of the piece. Please make sure that your animal is complex enough to showcase your skills. 100 pts
In class Assignment (2)
Select an everyday object to enlarge for shock value. Remember the Pop artist felt that everyday objects could be elevated to the same status as other art if it could be set apart somehow. Paper mache is our medium of choice. 100 pts
Second marking period............
In class Assignment (3) Working in groups make a sculpture in the style of George Segal. We will be using plaster to cast forms in class. 100 pts
Homework ; Bring in a objcct or two to de-construct in class. You may bring in more than one object. Objects should be trash and no TVs. We will see a film that will help you to see this process. This is due Tuesday the 15th.
