SIX STEPS TO A GREAT WEB PAGE.
1.Sign up for a Google "Gmail" account
2.Using you name along with WSD will denote that this is you school web page. (shunterwsd)
3.Open "My Account" and save your log-on so you don't have to do it each time.
4.Choose "Page Creator"
5."Create a New Page"
6. Preview and Publish
Tips:
Make sure you have content, no one wants to visit your page if nothing is going on. Give the user value.
Make sure your site is easy for the viewer to read and find what you want to show. If confused the first thing a viewer will do is click off to a new site.
Avoid funny or cute animated logos, music and other distractions. The page should match the content.
Your site is not on your computer. Google is hosting it. You will need to up load images before you can use them. You can upload from any computer at anytime.
Place you page links and back links in the same place on each page. The top of the page works best as the bottom is not always visible. You can have multiple links to the same target.
